Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient

Location: Medford, Oregon

Job Summary

Seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for an outpatient therapy/rehabilitation role in a short-term acute care setting. The position requires a 1:1 patient ratio and does not require floating between units, on-call duties, weekends, or block schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Oregon
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year

Certifications (Must be current and valid)

  • ACLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
  • BLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
  • PALS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) if applicable
  • Other specialty certifications as required by clinical track

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start (specialty and regional specific)
  • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background
  • Compliance with Oregon state-specific background and abuse/neglect checks as applicable
  • Competency exams and skills checklists as required by specialty and unit
  • Float policy acknowledgement (may be required to float to other units within reasonable distance)

Work Environment

  • No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements
  • Expected patient ratio: 1:1
  • Scrub color: Any (scrubs provided for OR, critical care, ED, PACU, maternal child units)

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • All health and background documentation must be current and compliant with state and facility regulations.
  • Physical exam and immunizations must be up to date as per facility policy.
