Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: New York, NY

Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Description
- Perform both CT scans and X-rays in a specialty orthopedic hospital setting.
- Dual-modality role with a schedule of four 9-hour shifts (4x9s) including a 30-minute lunch.
- Initial training for the first 2 weeks: Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Regular schedule after training: Wednesday through Saturday, 2:30 PM to Midnight.
- Daily caseload up to 20 patients.
- Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Exams primarily orthopedic, performed in exam rooms or via portable equipment.
- Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU.
- Candidate may rotate across multiple departments or locations.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
- Experience operating Siemens imaging equipment.
- CT procedure experience including abdomen, pelvis, brain perfusion, CT angiography (CTAs), and multiplanar reconstruction.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification.
- ARRT CT certification.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License (DOHNYS).
- IV Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Schedule Details
- Training: 2 weeks, Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Regular shifts: Wednesday to Saturday, 2:30 PM to Midnight.
- 4 nine-hour shifts per week with a 30-minute lunch break.
Additional Requirements
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start.
- Education verification required.
- Various compliance and competency exams must be completed, including medication/pharmacology competency and color blindness testing.
- Annual mandatory trainings including OSHA, harassment prevention, and core competency modules.
- Physical exam and health screenings (e.g., TB test, immunizations including TDAP, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B).
- Fit mask test (N95) within 1 year prior to start.
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually.
- References: Two manager/supervisor references required.
- Must provide a current, compliant photo for badge issuance.
