Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
- Call Requirements: None
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Floating: Mandatory float within scope as required by the facility
- Time Off (RTO): Maximum 5 days off, no more than 2 consecutive; no time off on holidays, weekends, or the day before/after a holiday
- Local Candidates: Accepted and preferred; must live within 75 miles of the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience working with Pediatric, Neonate, Infant, Maternal-Fetal, and Adult patients
- Experience in an Acute Care setting

Additional Requirements
- Background Checks: Comprehensive background check within 12 months covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SSN trace and national sex offender search
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 12 months, signed by PA, NP, DO, or MD
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 1 year, annually required
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination within 12 months
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT) within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with booster if low titer
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination within 1 year
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with booster if low titer
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1)
- Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology, color blind testing, and general competency exams required within 12 months of start
- Facility-Specific Forms: Must complete facility-specific onboarding forms for RNs
