Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Athens, Georgia
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
Unit Type: Medical Surgical Overflow
Patient Types: Total Hip Arthroplasty, Total Knee Arthroplasty, Total Shoulder Arthroplasty, Trauma Patients
Unit Size: 27 beds, average daily census of 24
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
Electronic Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
Uniform: Navy Blue scrub color
Floating: Yes, within the facility
Call Requirements: None
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
Compliance: Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays in compliance may result in assignment pushback
Locals Accepted: Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Facility Policies: Candidates must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
