Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: Up to 26 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, rotating late shifts
- Schedule: No weekends, no call requirements; staff rotate staying late if cases extend into the evening
- Holiday: Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational)
- Charting System: Epic required
- Locals: Not accepted; must live a minimum of 50 miles from the facility as verified by driver’s license address
- First-time travelers: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Electrophysiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- ARRT (R) certification or CCI certification
Required Documentation & Compliance
- I-9 or attestation
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address confirming minimum 50-mile radius from facility
- E-Verify or attestation
- 7-year background check (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years) within 1 year of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Education verification of highest earned degree
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Fit test within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Photo for badge (professional, plain background)
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment (HIPAA compliance)
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Radiation badge to be supplied by facility (not provided by agency for new candidates)
- Two clinical references required
