MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule & Environment

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Call and holiday rotation required
• No local candidates within 50 miles accepted
• Position requires physical activity including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
• Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses possible
• Facility operates 24/7; rotating shifts, holiday work, and inclement weather shifts required
• Must be able to:

  • Work full contract term at assigned location
  • Work full assigned shifts
  • Take call and work assigned weekends
  • Work at least 50% of holidays during contract

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (agency form acceptable)
• Fit mask test valid within 1 year (3M 1870+, 1860R, 1860S, or 9205) required unless exempted
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or approved exemptions:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (QGold, TSpot, or 2-step PPD) within 1 year; chest x-ray if positive TB history
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines (at least one after 1980)
  • Hepatitis B series or positive/reactive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates after 7/1/2023)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
• Drug testing: Negative 7-panel drug screen within 60 days of start

Documentation & Compliance

• Resume with minimum 7 years employment history, no gaps over 30 days, including education details
• Two professional references within last 2 years required (not necessarily supervisors)
• Missouri state-specific background searches and registrations must be completed timely
• Photo for badge (new candidates only)
• Access and Confidentiality Agreement within 60 days of start
• New hire packet and certification of employment eligibility required within 60 days
• TB survey and INH recommendation if applicable
• Facility-specific forms for flu exemptions and other health documentation as required

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and call shifts as scheduled
• Must comply with all facility policies and procedures including safety and infection control

This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with at least 1 year of specialty experience seeking a travel contract in Missouri with a structured weekday schedule and rotating call/holiday responsibilities.
