Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM (5 days, 8 hours per day)
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekend coverage once a month
• Setting: Inpatient acute care
• Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound exams with proficiency in abdominal general, OB/Gyn, vascular, and pediatric ultrasound

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
• ARDMS certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• OB/Gyn Sonographer experience
• Vascular Sonographer experience

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks: Must be completed within 30 days of start, including social security trace, 7-year criminal history, sex offender search, and federal exclusion lists
• Education Verification: Diploma or official transcripts required
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year; chest X-ray if applicable
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (specific requirements for facility)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (seasonal requirement)
  • COVID-19 vaccine dose received after 9/12/2023 or signed declination
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (facility-specific)
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask models required)
• References: Two supervisor-level references required, one within the last year
• Employment History: Verification of last 5 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days; application must cover last 7 years
• Competency Exams: Required for all units, including medication and pharmacology competency

Facility-Specific Onboarding Requirements

• Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including:

  • Abuse reporting (elder, child, domestic)
  • HIPAA training and acknowledgment
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • Access request forms (due within 72 hours of signing)
  • Job description acknowledgment specific to Radiology Department
  • Employee health latex questionnaire (for Radiology Ultrasound Tech)
  • Photo ID for badge (high-quality, recent headshot)
  • Various online training modules (e.g., C-ICARE, Code of Conduct, Radiation Hazard Awareness, Safe Patient Handling) with proof of completion
  • Facility-specific packets and policy acknowledgments

Additional Notes

• Training for the first 3 days will be from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No float requirement
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
