Speech Language Pathologist - Travel/Contract
Location: Westminster, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: Approximately 6 weeks (43 days)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (7.5 hours/day with 30 min unpaid lunch, 37.5 billable hours/week)
Job Description
- In-person Speech Language Pathologist role working within a school setting.
- Provide therapy and rehabilitation services as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a Colorado Special Services Provider (SSP) License with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) may be required; confirm with client.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or ARC).
- Valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID).
- Completion of Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and FBI fingerprint background checks as part of the licensing process. No additional fingerprinting required if holding a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license.
- Mandatory Reporter training specific to Colorado educational services is required and must be updated annually.
- Completion of Colorado CAPS Release Authorization form prior to background checks.
- Completion of school-specific employee information forms prior to start, renewed annually.
Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Criminal background checks must be current within 1 year and updated annually, covering multiple databases and aliases for the past 7 years of residency/work/school.
- Various state and facility-specific verifications and documentation are required, including license verifications twice (initial and 30 days prior to start).
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required annually.
- Educational Services candidates must sign FERPA annually (not required for subcontractors unless specified).
- Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) may be required if SSP license is not held; fingerprinting is part of this process.
- Drug testing, physical exams, TB tests, and immunizations are only required if specifically requested by the client or state.
