Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Fountain Valley, California
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
• Start-to-finish schedule runs Sunday through Saturday
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 17 weeks
• Local candidates are accepted
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Floating is required
• Weekend coverage is required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Assessments and Compliance

• Unit-specific competency exam required
• Medication exam required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for Telemetry RN
• Infection Control/Bloodborne Pathogens exam required
• Copies of continuing education completed within the last 24 months are required
• Signed HIPAA acknowledgement required
• Signed pass/fail testing acknowledgement required
• 2 references in the current specialty within 1 year of start

Pre-Start Health Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• N95 fit test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start
• Tdap
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
• Hepatitis B series or declination
• Hepatitis C titer preferred; declination accepted if needed
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination

Additional Notes

• COVID vaccination declination is allowed, but masking requirements apply if not fully vaccinated
• Orientation modules and facility-specific onboarding documents are required before starting
