Registered Nurse — MS/Tele Float

Overview

Travel/contract role in Knoxville, Tennessee
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Auto offer with bi-weekly orientation

Work Setting

Must be open to floating to any Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown/PCU, or possibly ICU unit depending on skills and need
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:7
Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 2 weekends per month

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Telemetry experience within the last year
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
One completed travel assignment
NIHSS, which may be obtained after offer
Ability to pass EKG testing before the start date
7 years of work history on application
2 supervisory references
Unit-specific skills checklist completed within the last year
Color blind testing within 12 months prior to start
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
Competency exam
Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III competency exams
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 12 months of start
State license verification completed within 30 days of start
NURSYS verification completed within 30 days of start
Background check and SSN trace
Drivers license or state ID
Passport-style photo for badge
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
TB questionnaire
Drug test
Flu vaccination or approved exemption documentation
MMR documentation
Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella immunization documentation

Notes

Holiday time off during listed holiday periods will not be accommodated
Local candidates within 75 miles are paid less than travelers
EMR used: Cerner
