Critical Care Float Pool RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio.
• Night shift: 3x12s, 19:00–7:30.
• Contract length: 15 weeks.
• All contracts must extend through January 2, 2027.
• Based in a Critical Care Float Pool with floating to a variety of ICUs as staffing and patient acuity require.

Float Scope

• Neuro ICU
• Surgical ICUs
• Medical ICUs (MICU x2)
• Cardiology/Diagnostics
• CVICU
• SICU / MICU / NCCU
• Float policy: nurses float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care Float experience.
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year.
• ICU experience.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• NIHSS.
• IV start capability.
• Telemetry experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Experience with Epic.
• Previous travel nursing experience is strongly preferred.
• RN candidates must be graduates of an accredited college of nursing.
• Ohio RN license verification is required within 30 days of start.
• NURSYS verification is required for RNs.
• 2 professional references are required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or other formal leadership role.
• Employment application required.

• Emergency Contact Form required.
• Background check and Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting are required.
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement required.
• Variable Schedule Attestation for OR is required for OR employees only, not this role.
