Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Burlingame, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Support cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses in the Interventional Radiology Lab.
- Perform technical analysis and assist with procedures under cardiologist supervision.
- Provide patient assessment, monitoring, and communication to ensure safe and precise treatment.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding privacy and safety.
- May mentor and train students.
Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Radiology/Cardiology)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Fluoro Permit
- California State License
- Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, variable start time between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
- Work every 3rd weekend and On-Call as needed
Background and Compliance Checks
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:
- Social Security trace with all aliases
- County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
- Nationwide sex offender search
- Education verification (highest level achieved)
- FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
- Employment history verification: Full 7 years of work history required with no gaps over 30 days
Certifications and Competencies
- Must have current and valid certifications:
- ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC approved)
- Fluoro Permit
- State License verification within 30 days of start
- Competency exams as applicable (medication test, dysrhythmia/EKG, etc.)
- Additional certifications may be required depending on position specifics (e.g., CCRN, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, cleared for work
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start
