Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Latrobe, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• AART-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• State License verification (primary source online verification)
• National Tech Certification as applicable (e.g., ASCP-HT or ASCP-HTL for Histology techs)
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for ER & Behavioral Health units

Experience Requirements

Background & Compliance Requirements

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year of start; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year required
• Annual TB questionnaire for past positive TB
• Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1)

Competency & Facility Specific Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet Angoff score)
• Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet Angoff score)
• Completion of facility-specific documents prior to start including:

  • Orientation Checklist
  • Pandemic Attestation
  • Code of Conduct
  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Disclosure Statement
  • Job Description acknowledgment
• Completion of various training and assessments for RN/LPN if applicable (e.g., Skin Integrity, Mobility, Catheter Training, Cardiac Procedure Education)
• Facility-specific competency assessments and quizzes with 100% passing score required for acceptance

References & Documentation

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, per diem acute care roles (within 3 years of start)
• 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles
• Skills checklist required annually
