Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM with on-call required
• On-Call: 7-8 call shifts per month, including 1 weekend
• Daily Caseload: Varies between 4-16 cases per tech
• Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• Locals: Not accepted within 70-mile radius
• First-Timers: 1st timers accepted
• Pending State License: Accepted
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Required Certifications & Skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT or RCIS certification
• Epic experience required
• Skills: Scrub and Circulate

Licensing

• Must have appropriate state license (Missouri or Compact License accepted)
• Primary source verification required prior to start

Facility & Work Environment

• 356-bed non-profit, research and academic medical center
• Free onsite parking provided
• Scrubs provided

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Criminal background check within 12 months
• Drug screening within 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
• Fit mask testing onsite during first week of orientation (annual requirement)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• COVID vaccine series preferred
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (except certain non-patient facing roles)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and training, including:

  • Cath Lab AbioMed Impella Online Training (annual update required)
  • Agency Personnel Orientation Checklist (post-start)
• Photo for badge (passport style, plain background)
• Signed confidentiality and ethical conduct agreements

Additional Notes

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; additional RTO requests after signing are at manager discretion
• Candidates must complete all required modules and training prior to or during orientation
• Candidates must provide all required documentation and clearances before starting assignment

This position is ideal for Cath Lab Techs with at least 2 years of experience, comfortable with on-call shifts, and willing to work in a travel contract role without local candidate exceptions.
