Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Bolivar, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekends: Every other weekend required (flexible if willing to work more than 50% weekends)
• Call: Not required
• Floating: Required to float between ICU and Telemetry units
• License: Missouri RN license or Compact license required
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH certification
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years ICU experience in a Level 1 Center
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required; first-time travelers accepted if ICU experience criteria met
• Skills Required:

  • Experience with Impella device
  • Balloon pump experience
  • Stroke care
  • STEMI care
• EMR System: Meditech experience strongly preferred; ability to quickly learn required if no prior experience
• Scheduling: Block scheduling allowed but not guaranteed; weekend blocks more feasible

Facility & Orientation

• Orientation modules required
• Facility-specific first day instructions provided after clearance
• Religious and medical exemption forms required for COVID and Flu vaccinations if applicable

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID carried during shifts
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Residency declaration form if working on a compact license
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal history check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Missouri-specific background searches as required
• Certifications verification (ACLS, BLS, etc.)
• NURSYS verification for RNs
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (initial and annual)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually by November 1
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Skills checklist updated annually

Additional Notes

• Block scheduling and weekend requirements may be flexible based on staffing needs
• Floating between ICU and Telemetry units expected
• Prior travel experience is not required, but ICU experience minimum is strictly enforced
• Meditech EMR experience preferred but not mandatory if quick learner
