Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Description

• Position: MRI Technologist
• Equipment: Siemens Scanners
• CT experience is a bonus but not required
• Start Date: ASAP
• Local candidates are welcome at the same rate
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Minimum 2-year commitment
• Shift: 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM on Saturday & Sunday
• Patient Mix: Approximately 75% outpatient (OP), 25% inpatient (IP)
• Some CT experience helpful but not mandatory

Required Credentials & Certifications

• State License: Primary source verification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all clinical candidates (AHA only, RQI not accepted)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required as applicable (ARC, AHA, or DoD accepted)
• Other Certifications: PALS, NRP, TNCC as required by specialty or facility
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for CCU, preferred for ED

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Must include SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender, FACIS Level 3
• Fingerprinting (OH BCI & FBI) required within 12 months of start, updated annually
• E-Verify proof or attestation required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification upon client request (highest degree)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
• Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination accepted
• Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Behavioral Health & De-Escalation Training required in CCU, preferred in ED/ER
• Dress code acknowledgment required
• System access form completion required
• Flu attestation and exemption forms as applicable

Documentation & Other Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
• Residency declaration form if working on a compact license
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for non-acute care
• Performance evaluations required if worked over 1 year with the agency
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment (HIPAA compliance)
