Location: Spokane Valley, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Specialty: Home Health Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Minimum 1 year recent experience required in specialty
• Average patients per day: 5-7
• Visits per day: 6
• Minimum productivity: 30 points weekly
• Types of cases: Geriatric
• Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
• On-call required every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Territory: Up to 60-mile radius from office
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted at travel rate
• Dress code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
• Documentation and communication must be timely and accurate
• iPad provided for work; cell phone use not allowed during visits
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Flexibility with territory expected

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of recent Occupational Therapy experience, preferably in Home Health
• Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA, ARC, Military accepted)

Work Environment & Requirements

• Must be able to work independently in a home health setting
• On-call availability every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Must comply with dress code and professional standards
• Must be flexible with travel within a 60-mile radius
• Mileage reimbursement provided for travel

Compliance & Background Requirements

• Background checks including SSN trace, county searches (7 years), sex offender, motor vehicle records, education and work history verification required within 90 days of start
• State-specific criminal history and employment verifications as applicable
• Fingerprinting required if candidate has not lived in Washington for the past 3 years (completed on-site)
• Physical exam within last 12 months required
• Fit mask test (N95 accepted) required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year required; TB questionnaire annually required
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months required
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form required
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required
• Proof of current auto insurance required due to driving responsibilities

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references within 2 years of start date
• Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps
• Annual competency exams and skills checklists as applicable
• Signed orientation safety manual acknowledgment annually
• Compliance with agency background attestation and acceptable use policies
