Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Burlington, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, Days (10:30 AM - 11:00 PM)
- Work Days: Saturday - Monday
- No on-call required
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (CT Tech)
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Required Licenses & Certifications
- ARRT CT certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC)
Preferred Experience
- Experience with PACS and Siemens equipment
- Preferred patient populations: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Required Qualifications & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Social Security Card (for badge issuance)
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification and transcript/diploma as applicable
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine proof
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required by 10/20)
- Fit mask test completed within current calendar year (N95 approved types)
- Physical exam (if applicable)
- Fingerprinting (NC SBI Fingerprint Results) if mandated by position (not typically for CT Tech)
Testing & Competencies
- Pass/fail EPIC test (if applicable)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (if applicable)
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (as applicable)
- Color vision testing (if applicable)
- Annual skills checklist with one-week grace period for renewal
References & Work History
- Two supervisory references required from clinical assignments (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
- Verification of all employment within last 5 years through third-party vendor
Additional Notes
- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Candidate must complete all compliance requirements by deadline prior to start date
- Facility has strict photo requirements for badge photos (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire)
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT CT certification, and BLS certification, who are comfortable working a weekend-heavy schedule in a travel contract role.
