Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)
Shift: 8-hour shifts, variable days and nights (must be able to work both)

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with a specialty in Surgery to work variable 8-hour shifts including days and nights.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for California (Nursys verification required at onboarding)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention training)
• Testing & Exams:

  • Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
  • Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
  • Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
  • Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
• Professional Requirements:

  • Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years)
  • Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
  • OIG Exclusion Search
  • Resume (up-to-date, reflecting recent work history)
  • Two professional references (one from a manager or direct supervisor)
  • Criminal Background Check (national, within one year of start date)
  • Badge Photo (clear headshot)
  • Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation)
  • Job Description signed by employee (current within the year)
  • Education Verification (diploma or transcripts if third-party verification unavailable)
• Health & Immunizations:

  • Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel including THC saliva test for California) within 60 days of start
  • Color-blind test (annual)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or documented declination
  • MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted)
  • Influenza Vaccine or declination (required during flu season; declinations not accepted)
  • TB Test within 1 year of start date
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity titer
  • Tdap vaccine as an adult (declinations not accepted)
  • Physical/Health Statement annually, stating clear to work
• Additional:

  • Respirator Fit Test (annual; must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
