Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for night shifts on a per diem travel assignment.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license for California.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – American Heart Association, Red Cross, or NALS accepted
  • DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention)
• Experience: Minimum years of experience not explicitly stated; assume standard NICU RN experience expected.
• Training & Exams:

  • Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years)
  • Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80% score)
  • Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80% score)
  • Prime Skills Checklist
  • Prime Color-blind Test (annual)
• Health Requirements:

  • COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses plus booster or completed declination)
  • MMR immunity (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (3 doses or titers)
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement)
  • TB test within one year of start date
  • Varicella immunity (vaccination or titer)
  • Tdap vaccination (no declinations accepted in some regions)
  • Physical/Health Statement (annual clearance to work)
  • Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC saliva test for California)
• Background Checks & Verifications:

  • National criminal background check within one year
  • License/certificate primary source verification within 30 days of start
  • Prime OIG, SAM/EPLS checks
  • Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
  • Education verification (diploma or transcripts)
• Additional Documentation:

  • Driver’s license, state ID, or passport
  • Resume with up-to-date and accurate work history
  • Two professional references (one from a manager or direct supervisor)
  • Name verification affidavit if discrepancies exist between credentials
• Orientation: Orientation paperwork provided on first scheduled shift; includes completion of "Essentials" form and post-test.
