Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for night shifts on a per diem travel assignment.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid RN license for California.
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – American Heart Association, Red Cross, or NALS accepted
- DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention)
- Experience: Minimum years of experience not explicitly stated; assume standard NICU RN experience expected.
- Training & Exams:
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years)
- Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80% score)
- Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80% score)
- Prime Skills Checklist

- Health Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses plus booster or completed declination)
- MMR immunity (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (3 doses or titers)

- TB test within one year of start date
- Varicella immunity (vaccination or titer)
- Tdap vaccination (no declinations accepted in some regions)
- Physical/Health Statement (annual clearance to work)
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC saliva test for California)
- Background Checks & Verifications:
- National criminal background check within one year
- License/certificate primary source verification within 30 days of start
- Prime OIG, SAM/EPLS checks
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
- Education verification (diploma or transcripts)
- Additional Documentation:
- Driver’s license, state ID, or passport
- Resume with up-to-date and accurate work history
- Two professional references (one from a manager or direct supervisor)
- Name verification affidavit if discrepancies exist between credentials
- Orientation: Orientation paperwork provided on first scheduled shift; includes completion of "Essentials" form and post-test.
