Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy
Location
- South Portland, Maine
- Home Health setting covering Hancock County (travel 50-100 miles per day)
Job Details
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (either 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts)
- Shift times: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Weekend rotation: 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks (Saturday and Sunday)
- No on-call duties
- Holiday coverage: open for all holidays, approximately 50% of holidays required
Patient Population
- Mostly adults, occasionally school-aged children
- Common diagnoses: post-orthopedic surgeries, post-surgeries, fall risks, deconditioning, mobility issues
Caseload
- 20-25 patients per Physical Therapist
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience (Home Health experience preferred but not required)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy
- Maine state Physical Therapy license
- BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license, personal car, and auto insurance
Experience
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
- Prior travel experience not required
Orientation & Support
- 1-2 weeks of orientation provided
- Support includes scheduler, phone-accessible leader, and PT leads
Technology
- EMR system: Netsmart
Additional Information
- Dress code: business casual or solid-colored scrubs
- Required pre-employment screenings and documentation include background checks, drug screen, immunizations, certifications, and various compliance verifications (e.g., criminal background, DHHS checks, physical, PPD, etc.)
