RRT – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Required Qualifications

Credential: Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Missouri, with a Missouri RCP license
Experience: 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. First-time travelers are accepted.
Recent Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): AHA or ARC only. AHA must be a Provider card.
Advanced Life Support (ALS): Required as stated in the posting description.
Basic Life Support (BLS): Issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). AHA must be a Provider card.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): Issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). AHA must be a Provider card.
Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP): Advanced Provider Certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics. Required for all RRTs at this facility.

Essential Job Functions

Work at the assigned location for the full contract term
Work the substantial time of the assigned shift
Take call
Work assigned weekends, including every other weekend
Work at least 50% of the holidays that occur during the contract
Work rotating shifts, holidays, and during inclement weather
Ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
Routinely come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses

Onboarding Requirements

Background and screening: 7-year background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion checks, and a Missouri state-specific search. All must be completed within 60 days of start. Either the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) search or the Missouri Caregiver search must be on file within 60 days. Both cannot be pending at start.
Identification and employment: Photo ID, E-Verify proof or attestation, and Certification of Employment Eligibility within 60 days of start
Health: Physical exam within 1 year of start. 7-panel drug test (instant drug screen acceptable) within 60 days.
Tuberculosis: Negative QuantiFERON-Gold or T-SPOT within 1 year of start, or a negative two-step PPD within 1 year of start. Must be updated annually.
Immunizations: Documented immunity or vaccination for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella. Tdap within 10 years of start. Seasonal flu vaccine or approved exemption required during flu season (10/01–03/31).
Respirator fit test: Valid fit test on an approved N95-type mask within 1 year of start. Must be renewed annually.
Employment history: Resume covering at least 7 years of work history with no gap greater than 30 days, and 2 professional references from the last 2 years
