Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 to 19:15
Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week

Job Duties

Provide direct nursing care for patients of all ages and developmental stages in assigned areas, using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Manage care of assigned patients and direct the activities of ancillary staff.
Assess patients' physiological and psychological needs and strengths in a competent and comprehensive manner.
Plan, implement, and evaluate patients' care plans.
Manage a patient care assignment in a cost-justifiable manner.
Demonstrate leadership through charge nurse functions.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Other Certifications (Position-Dependent, Verify with Agency)

NRP (AHA/AAP only; must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course)
CCRN
TNCC
EFM (typically required for L&D)
NIH Stroke Certification
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
MS/Tele RNs at certain locations must take an onsite EKG exam after start.

Other Requirements

Two professional references, required for clinical candidates (agency requirement only)
Unit-specific skills checklist, renewed annually (agency requirement only)
Passport-style color photo for badge (per diem only)
