Nurse Educator (Registered Nurse)

Location: Clinton, Maryland Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Mon-Fri). Will accept 4x10s. Off-cycle orientation on any Monday.

Role and Coverage

Covers education and onboarding needs for two inpatient complex care medical/surgical units:
- A cardiac unit with heart failure and pre/post cath lab patients
- A medical/surgical unit with long-term vent and trach patients
Also covers Med/Surg, Med/Surg float pool, and CVIC, so the educator must be knowledgeable in those areas.
Any acute nursing specialty background is acceptable. Med/surg experience is not required.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maryland
Med Surg experience (2 years)
Med Surg experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in educator roles
Valid driver's license
Experience with ventilator management
