Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Position: Interventional Radiology Tech (IR Tech)
• 1 year of specialty experience required (higher value confirmed)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Call schedule: One night per week
• Weekend rotation: One weekend every 4-5 weeks
• Required skills include:

  • Angioplasty
  • Chest tube placement
  • ERCP
  • Gastrostomy tube placement
  • Liver biopsy
  • Paracentesis
  • Stent placement
  • Carotid angiography
  • Discogram
  • Embolization
  • Vertebroplasty
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Travelers must be clean-shaven for mask fit testing (no PAPRs or CAPRs allowed)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
• Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with Angioplasty
• Experience with chest tube placement
• Experience with ERCP
• Experience with gastrostomy tube placement
• Experience with liver biopsy
• Experience with paracentesis
• Experience with stent placement
• Experience with carotid angiography
• Experience with discogram
• Experience with embolization
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Fit testing is mandatory and must be completed onsite during the first week of orientation
• Candidates must comply with facility-specific confidentiality, security, and ethical conduct agreements
• Post-start orientation checklists must be completed and submitted as required
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming good health is required for new candidates
• References: Two professional references required for new candidates
• Candidates must complete all required facility-specific training modules annually
• Drug screen and background checks must be current and compliant with facility standards
