Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Location: Greeneville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Details

• 36/36 schedule (36 hours on, 36 hours off)
• Floating required
• No call shifts
• Hospital may cancel/call off one shift biweekly without penalty due to census changes
• Additional overtime shifts available and may be flexed as needed
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA Instructor or Provider; RQI accepted)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) — verify with unit description
• Background checks including SSN trace, education verification, and state-specific registries
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Drug screening (9 panel) within 14 days of start
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Respirator fit testing completed onsite (previous fit tests from non-facility sources not accepted)

Orientation & Onboarding

• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Various facility-specific documents and policies must be reviewed and completed (e.g., dress code, smoking policy, contaminated sharps exposure statement)
• Photo for badge must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
