Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: New York, NY

Shift: 11:00 am - 12:00 am (13 hours/day, Thursday-Saturday including holidays)


Job Description

  • Position: CT Technologist
  • Department: MILSTEIN CT SCANNERS
  • Critical need assignment
  • Must be proficient with Apex scanner or at minimum GE systems

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
  • New York State license in Radiography
  • Certification by NYS to inject contrast media
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography
  • Maintain CE credits per American Registry of Radiologic Technologists requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience (specialty experience required: 1 year)

Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, primary source verification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, primary source verification required
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, primary source verification required
  • Current/active Tech Certification and State License (NY Radiology license and ARRT) with no adverse actions, verified within 6 months prior to assignment
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 6 months prior to assignment covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years, including aliases
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Social Security Verification, Sex Offender Search, OFAC Sanctions List Search (all required within 30 days of start)
  • Education Verification for degree/certificate and highest education level achieved
  • 20-year Employment Application and Work History Verification (WHV) required
  • 2 Professional References within 2 years of start

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start including vital signs, review of systems, medical history, and clearance to work without restrictions
  • Fit Mask test within 1 year of start (specific N95 masks required; PAPRs not accepted)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required if working with pediatrics or children)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray per specified options
  • Annual TB Questionnaire
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Vaccine records or positive IgG titers; if low titer, 2 booster doses required with timing conditions
  • Hepatitis B: Antibody titer, antigen titer, and declination form within 6 months of start
  • Varicella: Positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines; if low titer, 2 boosters required with timing conditions
  • Hepatitis C titer within 6 months of start
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen with chain of custody within 60 days prior to start (no marijuana testing)
  • Chain of Custody form required with drug screen
  • Vision screening (Snellen) within 12 months of start; corrective lenses noted if needed
  • Color Blind Exam only if failed online test twice (in-person Ishihara test required)
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination required during flu season (Sept 3 – May 31) with no declinations accepted unless approved exemption

Competency Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • Color Blind Testing (online or in-person if needed)
  • Competency Exam (as applicable)

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Completion of New York State Central Registry (SCR) and Statewide Exclusion List (SEL) forms if applicable
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement, Harassment Factsheet, Staff Attestation, and Code of Conduct for Custodians of People with Special Needs (as applicable)
  • Completion of Department Orientation Checklist onsite
  • Completion of Prestart and Annual Required Training Modules via Workday
  • Hepatitis B Declination form required for all candidates
