Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Start Date: Mid to Late April
Job Description
- Hospital-based assignment operating on a two-tech model (no working alone)
- Focus on Cardiology and general nuclear medicine only (no PET)
- Equipment: GE scanner
- Primary work location at Memorial Campus with possible float to nearby University Campus
- Schedule: 5x8 or possibly 4x10 shifts, start times at 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM
- Call Requirements: 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month (more call available if interested)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT or NMTB certification
- Experience working with Pediatric and Neonate patients
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Background checks including 7-year criminal background, education verification, and various state/federal checks
- Health documents including:
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
- Immunizations or declinations for TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and others as specified
- Drug testing within 30 days of start
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- References: 2 references within 3 years of start
- Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
