Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Auburn, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Cath Lab Tech with at least 2 years of recent experience in Radiology/Cardiology. Immediate start preferred.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Radiology/Cardiology Tech
  • Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA)
  • National certification verification prior to start and upon expiration

Additional Required Certifications (as applicable)

  • Stroke education (8 hours annually, NIH Stroke Scale training may count)
  • Telemetry assessment and cardiac rhythm interpretation proficiency (pass/fail testing on orientation day)
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
  • Fit mask test within 12 months and updated annually
  • Other certifications may apply depending on unit assignment

Background and Health Requirements

  • Background check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start
  • Physical exam within 12 months signed by a licensed provider confirming ability to perform job duties
  • Drug screening (9 panel) within 30 days of start
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years or declination
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity (2 MMR vaccines or serologic titers)
    • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
    • COVID vaccine records or declination

Documentation and Compliance

  • Valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)
  • State license primary source verification prior to start and upon expiration
  • Nursys verification (if applicable)
  • Completion of facility-specific documents including code of conduct, patient abuse reporting, confidentiality agreements, and orientation packet acknowledgements
  • Annual tuberculosis screening questionnaire
  • Automated Dispensing Cabinet Security training (for applicable roles)

  • Candidates must pass a telemetry assessment on the first day of orientation if assigned to units requiring cardiac rhythm interpretation.
