Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
• Hours: 36 to 40 hours per week
• Call: No call required
• First Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Dosimetrist)
• Required Certification: Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Dosimetry)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

• Eclipse (Varian)
• Varian 21 ex/ix and Varian TrueBeam Edge
• Image fusion/registration (CT/MRI/PET)
• Adaptive Radiotherapy
• Computer Generated Isodose Plan
• Electron Field and Heterotopic Bone treatments
• Parallel Opposed Fields and Prophylactic Treatments
• Respiratory Gating/Breath Hold for Left Breast
• Single Field and VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy)
• Weighted Fields
• Radiation dose calculation and treatment plan design
• Dose-volume histogram (DVH) analysis
• Field shaping and image registration/contouring
• Plan evaluation against clinical protocols
• ARIA system proficiency

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable (refer to qualification guidelines)
  • Tech Certification Verification (National) as applicable
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (not required for Per Diem)
  • State License verification (primary source online verification required)
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required by profession)
  • Color Blind Testing (annual)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (if applicable)
• Facility-specific documents and policies review (e.g., Drug and Alcohol Free Policy, Hand Hygiene, Dress and Appearance, Abuse Reporting, Safe Patient Handling, Orientation Quizzes)
• Photo for badge

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• Fit Mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (fit testing may be done onsite or scheduled with Employee Health)
• TDAP vaccine within last 10 years (declination allowed)
• Negative TB test (QGOLD, TSPOT, or 2-Step PPD) within 1 year, updated annually
• TB Questionnaire annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B Surface Antibody (declination allowed)
  • Varicella (declination allowed)
• Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year (excluding marijuana panel due to CA state law)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccine (required Nov 1 - Apr 30, declination allowed)
• COVID vaccination record preferred

Notes

• Epic, HIPAA, and YouLearn modules must be completed as required by the facility prior to or shortly after start date.
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible for local rate consideration.
• Facility accepts first-time travelers; prior travel experience is not mandatory.

This position offers a structured day shift schedule with no on-call duties, suitable for Dosimetrists with at least 1 year of experience and CMD certification looking for a travel contract in California.
