Job Description

• Position: Anesthesia Technician
• Experience Required:

  • 1 year if ASATT certified
  • 5 years if not ASATT certified (hard stop)
• Epic Experience: Required
• Travel Experience: Preferred but first-timers will be considered
• Weekend Requirement: On-call weekends required
• Certifications: ASATT preferred
• BLS Certification: Required
• On-call: Yes, weekends
• Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• Locals: Not accepted (75-mile radius rule)
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 7 days allowed; no RTO in first two weeks due to ORT

Required Background Checks & Verifications

• 7 Year Criminal Background Check (updated annually) including:

  • SSN Trace
  • Counties lived/worked/school
  • FACIS L3
  • DOJ Sex Offender Search
  • Nationwide check
  • Education Verification (highest level)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM Check
• HHS/OIG Check
• Transcript or Diploma on file
• Education Verification (highest level)

Required Certifications

• ASATT (preferred)
• ACLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
• BLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
• PALS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
• NRP (as required)
• Tech Certification Verification (national, as required)
• State License Primary Source Verification
• NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP as applicable)

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Competency Exam (as applicable by profession/specialty)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Passport-style photo for badge (must be submitted within 48 hours of signing and no later than 2 Wednesdays prior to start)
• Completion and signing of facility-specific agreements and attestations within the same timeframe:

  • Acceptable Use and Confidentiality Agreement
  • Contractual and Third Party Access Agreement
  • Compliance and Privacy Program Attestation
  • Emergency Contact Form

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• TDAP vaccine within 10 years (or declination accepted)
• Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 1 year; for positive responders, negative chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
• Annual TB Questionnaire
• Immunity or vaccination for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer required; vaccine series alone not accepted)
  • Varicella
• Negative 12 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (not required annually)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season)
• COVID Vaccination preferred but not required; vaccination record or declination required
• Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year and annually
