Job Description
- Position: Anesthesia Technician
- Experience Required:
- 1 year if ASATT certified
- 5 years if not ASATT certified (hard stop)
- Epic Experience: Required
- Travel Experience: Preferred but first-timers will be considered
- Weekend Requirement: On-call weekends required
- Certifications: ASATT preferred
- BLS Certification: Required
- On-call: Yes, weekends
- Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
- Locals: Not accepted (75-mile radius rule)
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 7 days allowed; no RTO in first two weeks due to ORT
Required Background Checks & Verifications
- 7 Year Criminal Background Check (updated annually) including:
- SSN Trace
- Counties lived/worked/school
- FACIS L3
- DOJ Sex Offender Search
- Nationwide check
- Education Verification (highest level)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM Check
- HHS/OIG Check
- Transcript or Diploma on file
- Education Verification (highest level)
Required Certifications
- ASATT (preferred)
- ACLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
- BLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
- PALS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
- NRP (as required)
- Tech Certification Verification (national, as required)
- State License Primary Source Verification
- NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP as applicable)
Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
- Competency Exam (as applicable by profession/specialty)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Passport-style photo for badge (must be submitted within 48 hours of signing and no later than 2 Wednesdays prior to start)
- Completion and signing of facility-specific agreements and attestations within the same timeframe:
- Acceptable Use and Confidentiality Agreement
- Contractual and Third Party Access Agreement
- Compliance and Privacy Program Attestation
- Emergency Contact Form
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 1 year; for positive responders, negative chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
- Annual TB Questionnaire
- Immunity or vaccination for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer required; vaccine series alone not accepted)
- Varicella
- Negative 12 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (not required annually)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season)
- COVID Vaccination preferred but not required; vaccination record or declination required
- Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year and annually
