Job Opportunity: CT Tech / X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)

Position Details

• Role combines CT Tech and X-Ray Tech responsibilities.
• Shift: Friday to Sunday, 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, night shift).
• Call, holiday, and floating requirements: None.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
• Equipment: CT scanner is GE 64 Revolution Evo; X-ray system is GR with Konica retrofit to DR.
• Charting system: Cerner.
• Scrub color: Wine.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of combined CT/X-ray experience required.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility (locals not accepted).
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

Certifications & Licenses

• ACLS (AHA only) – as required by unit.
• BLS (AHA only) – as required by unit.
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit specifics (refer to unit job description for details).
• State license verification required as applicable.
• National tech certification verification required as applicable.
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required.

Background & Health Requirements

• Background check covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in, required within 90 days of start.
• Physical exam required.
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate).
• TB testing: Negative 2-step PPD or Qgold within 1 year; T-Spots not accepted.
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to assignment start (flu season October–May).
• COVID vaccine exemption allowed with medical or religious documentation.

Additional Requirements

• Facility-specific documents including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement.
• Passport-style photo required for badge.
• Completion of facility-required modules (~8-10 hours) prior to start; paid time.
• On-site EKG exam required for Monitor Techs (not specified if applicable here).
• No call, holiday, or floating requirements.

This position is ideal for experienced CT/X-ray technologists who have at least 1 year of combined experience, are comfortable working night shifts on weekends, and are willing to travel at least 50 miles from home.
