Job Description

• Provide occupational therapy for adult inpatient acute care hospital patients.
• Some outpatient settings within the hospital.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts. No call, weekends, or float required.
• Oncology-based unit with a stem cell transplant unit.
• Average caseload: 6 patients per day.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required in occupational therapy.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• New graduates may be considered depending on clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Prior travel experience not required.

Certifications Required

• State License (pending applications accepted if already submitted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Orientation

• 2-week unit orientation (80 hours)
• EPIC documentation system used
• Wine-colored scrubs not provided

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background checks including Social Security Trace, Education Verification, and others as per hospital policy
• Various health documents including:

  • Physical exam within last 12 months
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • Immunizations: Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu, COVID vaccine or approved exemptions
  • Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start
• Annual competencies and skills checklist required
• Fit mask training and respirator fit testing required onsite
