Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
• Weekends: Required every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2-week period
• Floating: Yes, will float between hospital units including multiple campuses within close proximity

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid LMSW - Licensed Master Social Worker license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of LMSW experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in Discharge Planning and Care Coordination
• Case Management experience

Licensure and Certifications

• Must hold a valid Washington State license for Social Services (MSW)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Facility and Work Environment

• Level II Trauma Center
• Total staffed beds: 571 across campuses
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Any except reddish orange
• Parking: Facility paid

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and health requirements including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use
• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
• Education verification required
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
• Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
• WA State Patrol background search required within 90 days of start and updated every 2 years for certain facility types

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with float policy acknowledging possible assignment to other nearby facilities
• Completion of required WorkRamp modules annually, including:

  • Regulatory requirements for all caregivers
  • Specialty-specific modules for social workers
  • Trauma-informed care modules as required
• Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
• Epic training modules completion may be required depending on assignment

This position offers an opportunity to work in a large, multi-campus acute care setting with a focus on acute care social work, discharge planning, and care coordination. Candidates should be prepared for floating between units and working every other weekend. The role requires compliance with comprehensive health, background, and training requirements to ensure patient and staff safety.
