Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
Call Requirements:
- 2-3 call shifts per week (long or short call)
- 2 call weekends in a 6-week period
- Short call during the week: 17:30-20:00 post-shift as backup if cases are complete; stay if cases ongoing
- Weekend short call: backup from 07:00-14:00 Saturday and Sunday
- Long call: overnight emergency call 17:30-07:00, must be on-site within 30 minutes of page
- Weekend long call covers Friday evening through Sunday evening for emergent and non-emergent cases
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to serve as a Circulator with experience in RLHC/PCI, Peripheral, and Electrophysiology (EP) circulating.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
Health Requirements
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); medical or religious exemptions allowed with proper documentation
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Adult TDAP vaccine if applicable
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer or signed declination
- Required titers or vaccinations for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
- Negative 11-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Fit mask test within last 12 months
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year, attesting ability to meet physical demands
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Completion of skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
- Completion of facility-specific documents and acknowledgements prior to start (e.g., confidentiality, code of ethics, dress code, safety policies)
- Completion of EPIC training modules as required (some may be completed onsite)
- Must wear both agency and facility badges at all times
Work Environment
- Possible exposure to COVID-19
- Hospital provides scrubs
- Call schedule includes weekend and overnight emergency coverage

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
- Candidate must be able to respond to emergency calls on-site within 30 minutes
