Job Description

• Position: Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Tech
• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday (day off during the week may vary based on staffing needs)
• No floating, weekend, or call requirements
• Includes 2-4 weeks of unit orientation
• Locals within 50-mile radius are not eligible

Required Qualifications

• Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography experience (minimum 1 year, with experience within the last year)
• Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • NT (Nuchal Translucency)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and Health Documents:

  • Flu Vaccine (seasonal, declination accepted)
  • COVID Vaccine or Declination
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years, declination accepted)
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer, declination accepted
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer, declination accepted
• Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
• Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment

Training and Competency Requirements

• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification or Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring Assessment exam required for L&D RNs (if applicable)
• Providence WorkRamp Modules:

  • Annual regulatory and specialty-specific modules required for travel caregivers
  • Modules assigned based on region, profession, and specialty
• Epic Access Training: Required for candidates in certain regions (not specified for this role/location)
