Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide care in a 17-bed ICU/CSICU specializing in cardiovascular patients.
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics.
• Care for patients post coronary artery bypass grafting, thoracotomy, carotid stenting, heart valve replacement/repair, and other vascular interventions.
• Experience with interventional and non-interventional procedures, general surgery, and advanced therapies.
• Use of specialized equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), induced hypothermia, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and Impella Heart Pump.
• Work within a professional, collaborative team culture valuing integrity and respect.

Required Qualifications

Education & Licensure

• Valid RN license in Arkansas.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Compliance & Safety

• Position is safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 (Medical Marijuana regulations).

Required Documentation & Compliance (Summary)

• Government-issued photo ID.
• Social Security card.
• Background checks including 7-year history and state-specific searches.
• Education verification.
• Various certifications (BLS, ACLS, and others as applicable).
• Physical exam (within 1 year).
• Immunizations and health screenings including TB test, Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tdap, Flu vaccination or declination, COVID vaccination documentation.
• Drug screening (10-panel, negative result required).
• References (2 required within 2-3 years).
• Work history verification (past 2 years).
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
• Facility-specific documents and orientation requirements.

Specialty Skills Required

• Open Heart Recovery skills.
• Experience with cardiovascular ICU patients and advanced cardiac support devices.
