Job Description

• Work at a Level 1 Trauma Center with Siemens CT equipment (Siemens experience required).
• Preferred experience with Cerner and McKesson systems.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 11 PM shift.
• This is a teaching facility with opportunities to provide education and training to new technologists, student technologists, and physicians (interns, residents, fellows, attendings).
• Perform complex imaging tasks including CT Cardiac, Stroke perfusion, and Trauma protocols.
• Assist with procedure protocols for patients with various acuity levels (ICU, Trauma, General Anesthesia, Sedation, Inpatient).
• Evaluate image quality and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist radiologists and physicists in developing new imaging protocols and techniques.
• Physical demands include ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
• Position requires working in a 24/7 healthcare environment with rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather work.
• Must be able to work assigned weekends, take call, and work at least 50% of holidays during the contract.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist within the last year.
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment.
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • CT Certification
• Must have experience with Siemens CT equipment.
• Ability to use PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
• Must be able to provide orientation and training to new staff and students.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I-9, Driver’s License/State ID, E-Verify).
• Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and international checks if applicable.
• State-specific background checks and registries as required by Missouri regulations.
• Verification of certifications and licenses within 60 days of start.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, initiated within 48 hours of signing.
• Fit mask test valid within 1 year (specific mask types required).
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or approved exemption)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates)
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
• Drug screening (7-panel negative within 60 days of start).
• Professional references (2 within last 2 years).
• Resume with at least 7 years of employment history, no gaps over 30 days.

Physical and Work Environment

• Active role requiring physical activity including walking, reaching, and lifting.
• Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, trauma-level environment.

• Must be able to work full shifts and fulfill all contractual obligations including call, weekends, and holidays.
• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgments required.
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and procedures.

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with trauma center experience who have prior travel contract experience and are comfortable working in a high-acuity, teaching hospital environment.
