Job Opportunity: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: Los Angeles, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months) preferred
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule
- 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
- May include occasional weekend coverage and floating
- Weekly work hours: 36 hours
- Cancellation notice: 14 days
Requirements
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Current state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Background checks including 7-year work/school history and sex offender registry
- Emergency contact form required prior to start
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
