Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Call required
- Scrubs provided
- EPIC charting experience required
- First time travelers accepted
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- ARRT-R or CCI certification
- Experience with EPIC charting system
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted at start; must renew with AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted at start; must renew with AHA only
- Pass/Fail Testing (Medication Test/Pharmacology and Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exams) required with limited attempts
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required and must be completed within 30 days of start
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required with a passing score of 80% or higher
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid government-issued photo ID (passport acceptable in lieu of driver’s license or state ID)
- I9 or attestation required
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
- Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months of start; annual updates required
- Drug testing (10 panel) within 30 days of start
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – positive titers or vaccination documentation
- Varicella – positive titers or vaccination documentation
- Hepatitis B – vaccine series and positive titer or signed declination form
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references within 3 years of hire required
- Must complete facility-specific forms and job description acknowledgment prior to start
- Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation, updated annually
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Candidates must pass competency exams with limited attempts; remediation may be allowed with approval
- All certifications and documentation must be current and verifiable at time of hire and maintained throughout assignment
