Assignment Details
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week (5x8), 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week (72 guaranteed hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, rotating weekends
- Call Requirement: No
- Floating: Yes, may float to a nearby campus
- Start Date: ASAP
- Orientation: 3-day orientation on day shift (Day 1: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Days 2 & 3: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Unit Information
- Average surgical case volume: 65 cases per day
- Average daily tray volume: 1200 trays
- Specialty areas: Neuro, Orthopedics, Robotics, some Pediatrics, Urology, General Surgery, Gynecology
- Department is a teaching sterile processing unit
- Team environment focused on quality and self-motivation
Required Qualifications
- Sterile Processing Technician (2 years of experience)
- Sterile Processing Technician experience within the last year
- CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA
Facility Highlights

Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver's License or State ID)

- Background Check within 90 days of start (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years), updated annually

- Education verification required (not mandatory if valid education verification already on file)
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or signed declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- Respiratory safety clearance required for travel candidates (medically cleared annually)
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background)
Additional Requirements
- Float policy acknowledgement (may be required to float to other nearby facilities)
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- Color blindness testing if required by unit
