Telemetry Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
13-week assignment
Night shift: 4x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
36 or 48 hours per week may be offered
Floating is required
Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts
RTO after booking is not allowed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Step-down experience

Unit Details

Cardiac telemetry unit
Typical patient mix includes cardiac arrhythmias, MI, ACS, uncontrolled diabetes, DKA, heart failure, post-cardiac catheterization, post-PPM, post-ICD, and cardiac drips
No titrating blood pressure drips
No charge nurses on the unit

Skills

IV start
Telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management

Orientation and Work Environment

3-day orientation
First day is EPIC training, followed by 2 days on the unit
Scrubs: navy or white

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Local candidates are accepted
Contract cancellations may occur for additional RTO or call-offs on the unit
