Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry Unit (Night Shift) - Nashville, Tennessee

• Travel/Contract assignment
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Total hours per week: 36

Job Description

• Float required to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units, including forensics and inpatient units
• Must be comfortable working with the prison population

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) or forensic nursing experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification or Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be prepared to complete competency exams within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; two attempts allowed before contract termination
• Float assignments may include forensic units and inpatient areas
• Candidates must be comfortable working with incarcerated patients
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the system over 1 year; internal evaluations if over 2 years
