Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist - NICU
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Units: PICU and NICU
Job Summary
- Work in both Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Night shift position.
- Unit accepts first-time travel healthcare workers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Virginia.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
Additional Information
- Facility is a large, recognized medical center with advanced technology and high standards in infection prevention.
- No onsite certification renewals; all certifications must be current at start.
- Candidates must bring certain personal items to orientation (mask, non-wireless headphones, laptop or cell phone).
- Candidates may start with some background or fingerprinting results pending if proof of submission is on file.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
Summary
This is a 13-week night travel contract for a Respiratory Therapist to work in both PICU and NICU units. The position requires a Virginia permanent respiratory therapy license, current pediatric and neonatal certifications, comprehensive background checks including fingerprinting, and up-to-date immunizations and health screenings. The unit welcomes first-time travel therapists and offers a supportive orientation process.
