Job Description
- Must be able to work independently for 12 hours on weekends.
- Daily outpatient schedule includes level III trauma emergency department.
- Experience required with GE 1.5T MRI scanner.
- Knowledge of general MRI protocols including prostate and breast imaging.
- Candidates must be pre-approved for housing prior to submission.
- Maximum of 10 return-to-office (RTO) days allowed; RTO not allowed during specified blackout periods in 2026.
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1.5 years of experience.
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year.
- ARRT (MR) certification required.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front and back).
- E-Verify or attestation required.
- Legal proof of name change if applicable.
- 7-year background check including SSN trace, Colorado state checks, education verification, and other standard screenings.
- State license verification within 60 days of start (Colorado license required).
- Employment application and work history verification covering last 3 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
- Two professional references from the last two years, including one from the last year (charge RN, manager, or supervisor).
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams (medication, core parts I-III, OSHA, dysrhythmia/EKG).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA.
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific 3M masks required).
- Immunizations and titers:
- TDAP within 10 years or signed declination.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, with annual updates if positive TB history.
- MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) immunity via titer or vaccines.
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccine series or declination.
- Varicella immunity via titer or vaccines.
- Drug testing within 30 days of start and annually thereafter (specific drug panel required).
- Color blindness testing via Ishihara exam (online testing not accepted for new candidates).
- COVID vaccination proof or signed declination (acceptable vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna).
- UCHealth Colorado CAPS release authorization annually for background screening.
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or RQI accepted.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for this specialty.
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) not required for this role unless specified by unit.
Additional Notes
- Floating outside the scope of practice is not required or allowed.
- Candidates must be able to work the specified weekend shifts independently.
- Housing must be secured before submission for consideration.
