Job Opportunity: Endocrinology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
- Provide clinical expertise in reproductive endocrinology and fertility care.
- Guide patients through the healthcare system from screening through diagnosis and follow-up.
- Assist with access issues, develop relationships with service providers, and track interventions and outcomes.
- Promote a positive work environment emphasizing respect for patients, families, providers, caregivers, and other departments.
- Work in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Charting system used: Epic.
Contract Length
- Approximately 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
- Minimum 1 year of endocrinology experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid government-issued ID required.
- Massachusetts Statewide iCORI Release (background check authorization) required prior to start.
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, county searches, national criminal search, and federal exclusions. Annual updates required for direct hires.
- Education verification of highest completed education required (transcript acceptable if verification unavailable).
- Drug testing within 30 days of start, covering multiple substances.
- Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions.
- Immunizations or valid declinations required for:
- COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
- Influenza (seasonal vaccine or declination)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Tuberculosis screening: Two PPD tests or equivalent within required timeframes; chest X-ray and TB questionnaire if positive.
- Medication and Telemetry competency exams required; must pass with minimum 80% on first day of orientation (Telemetry exam required only if working in telemetry-monitored units).
- NURSYS license verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Employment application documenting 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
- Two professional references within three years of start.
- Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually as applicable.
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
- Work environment is outpatient clinic-based, focusing on reproductive endocrinology and fertility cycle management.
- Candidates must be prepared to complete required competency exams and maintain compliance with all health and background documentation.
