Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Position

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
Daily Caseload: Approximately 14 patients per day

Job Details

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Maryland
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Copy of valid Driver’s License/State ID (must match state of license if using compact license)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions (updated annually)
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date (does not expire unless gap in assignment >30 days)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date (instant/rapid accepted)
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start date, updated annually (specific approved mask models required)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start date
• Negative TB test (Qgold, Tspot, or True 2-Step PPD) within 1 year; if positive, must submit chest x-ray and TB questionnaire updated annually
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B) with booster protocols if titers are negative
• Seasonal flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted) with deadline prior to start
• NIH Stroke Certification required for all units except Pediatrics, OB, and Labor & Delivery; must be updated annually
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement or signed HIPAA form
• Competency exams as applicable, including medication/pharmacology and specialty-specific testing
• Proof of 2 clinical references
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units

Additional Notes

• Fingerprinting via Maryland CJIS/DSS/FBI required for school placements only; must be completed in Maryland with instructions provided
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the facility over 1 year
• Some certifications and documentation are specific to school placements or subcontractors and may not apply to all candidates
