MS/Tele RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Wilmington, North Carolina.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–07:15.
• 36- or 48-hour contracts accepted.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac
• BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Experience with PICC lines
• Phlebotomy skills
• Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be able to work holidays
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Float to other MS units and New Hanover Regional Medical Center (main campus)
• 7 days of RTO max per contract
• No blocked scheduling requests accepted, unless requesting a weekend block Fri–Mon

• 24-hour unit orientation
• Scrubs: Navy Blue or white

Additional Notes

• RTO after booking is not allowed.
• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team coverage and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty events, or disasters.
• Locals accepted at local rate.
