Job Overview

Location: Brownwood, Texas
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Weekly hours: 48
Contract length: 13 weeks
Start date: Early October preferred
Schedule note: May consider 36 hours/week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Health and Compliance Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start and completed within 72 hours of signing contract
Negative TB or chest X-ray completed within 72 hours of signing contract
TB questionnaire required
Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation required within 72 hours of signing contract
Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start
Drug screen required within 10 business days prior to start
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for the 2026–27 season
Fit test required and updated annually
Color blind testing required

Orientation and Onboarding

Orientation modules are required and take about 3–4 hours
Several facility-specific acknowledgements and forms must be completed before start

Parking is available for orientation and employment parking after orientation at no fee
Onsite fit testing is available at additional cost

Pros

Travel friendly, great staff, clean ER, everyone really helps out good team nursing skills. You will see snd learn alot at this ER. Night shift is were its at, great team.

Cons

High acuity and often short staffed. Very busy. Probably one of the hardest places ive worked but you see ALOT and use your skills!! Tired after every shift. Definitely not for the weak. You really need some experience to work here.
