Job Overview

  • Location: Hartford, Connecticut
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Weekly hours: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Local candidates: Accepted at the same rate

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
  • Behavioral Health (3 years of experience)
  • Behavioral Health experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
  • ED - Emergency Department experience

Additional Requirements

  • Two references from the past 2 years, both from direct supervisors
  • Last 7 years of work history must be verifiable
  • Employment application with 7 years of employment history and explanation of gaps
  • Current photo for badge
  • Driver’s license or state ID copy, or passport in lieu of driver’s license
  • Background check and required screenings
  • Education verification
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Respiratory fit test
  • Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • Drug test within 30 days of start
  • Current season influenza vaccine or approved exemption documentation
  • Skills checklist within 1 year of start
  • Competency exam with an 80% or higher score within 1 year of start
  • Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III
  • OSHA mandatory training
  • HIPAA competency
  • Annual confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, and contractor checklist acknowledgements
  • Pediatric medication calculation exam
  • Annual flu vaccine exemption forms if requesting an exemption
